Today we went on a picnic with some local friends who have boys around the same age as Josiah and Judah. They didn't play much together at first but after an hour or so they got past the language barrier and played like little boys love to play, rough and dirty. We grilled meat and had salad and bread. The place we went is called Sveti Ilija. It is a called this because the church located here on top of the mountain is named Sveti (saint) Ilija. The boys enjoyed playing ball with Bojan and Martin and getting wet and muddy in the stream. Josiah fell in the mud soon after we got there and that's why he doesn't have a shirt on. As you can see the boys really enjoyed themselves. This was a great experience for the boys to be around other Macedonian kids and it encouraged Josiah to learn some new words. He came up to us several times wanting to know how to say things in Macedonian. He is becoming more interested every day in learning the language and this is very encouraging for us.

I am so glad to see that you all made it there okay. It looks as though you are living in a postcard! Absolutely beautiful. I look forward to keeping up with all of you thru the blog. I am praying that the "bun in the oven" has a safe arrival. Charlie looks like he is already right at home. And by the way...just call me Coach Reding from now on. Did B tell you that I am the volleyball coach? Praying for you and the work you are beginning.
